Students from Rochester Governmental University of Technology in Dubai came up with new invention by building on the currently existing 3D touch technology and utilizing it in showing modern car models in an easy and detailed way.
The new invention can know the most detailed specifications of the car and then view them in an easy and attractive way. It can also change shapes and colors, the thing that will substitute the need of miniatures or prototypes when showing cars to the public, along with the needed space and difficulties.
Doctor Yusuf Alassaf, head of Rochester University for Technology in Dubai reported that 25 students participated in this project in a partnership with “Fraktel System” company, indicating that this result came after several months of hard and continuous work.
Alassaf also explained that the possible uses of this invention are practically unlimited, and one of the possibilities is showing cars and its characteristics from all angles and knowing the characteristics wanted by consumers.
He also stressed the fact that this technology can be provided in different sizes and specifications which can be utilized in various industrial fields, pointing to the fact that it can also be used in exhibits and meetings and other places.
He continued his talk by saying that more than 100 companies requested the right to use this technology, including governmental and private organizations, schools, hospitals, car exhibits, and other small and medium sized companies.
Alassaf also said that this technology can be utilized in showing other products and that it can save tremendous amount of space while using cutting edge technologies in an attractive way.
On the other hand, Terry Karem Luis, manager of “Fraktel System” shed some light on this partnership with Rochester University of Technology which led to this amazing invention that can benefit wide array of industrial sectors.
Luis also added that this technology uses touch technology and contains a database of users’ numbers and most viewed products thus giving useful statistics on the most wanted products by consumers, the thing that can be very helpful in increasing sales volume.
Fraktel manager also mentioned that 25 male and female students from Electronic Engineering department took part in this project which was greatly welcomed by the public.
He also pointed to the fact that many organizations are now requesting this technology for the purpose of providing better services and seeking knowledge about their customers’ needs in a new and innovative way.
