Mr. Essa Al Maidour who is the chairman of Dubai Foundation for ambulance services launched the new generation of ambulances that recently launched by the foundation in new look and assorted colors which indicate the degree and seriousness of the disease and the patient’s condition inside each vehicle. The ceremony was attended by Khalifa Al-Draay, CEO and director of institutional support and Essa al-Ghafari, director of medical affairs in addition to Omar al-Saqqaf from the technical department and Essa Rida who is the head of the Administrative Affairs Department plus the American Horton Company which is specialized in equipping the ambulances, and Al Tayer Motors Company.
Mr. Essa Al Maidour stressed that the developed vehicles fleet enhances the capabilities of the paramedics for the response speed which supports the efficiency and consolidate the concepts of inclusiveness, quality and completion speed of the service at the highest levels of excellence and perfection.
He noted that the launch comes in response to the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who is the UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai in order to update the capabilities and strengthening capacity plus linking all data with computers and launching the smart government services over the next year. For his part, Khalifa Al-Draay said that the continuity in the ambulatory work is essential to keep track of the continues development process with the acceleration of events and providing services around the world in addition to secure the patient and ensure his/her safety all the time by taking advantage of the important minutes before the transferring the patient to the hospital or turned over to the doctor.
He pointed to the ongoing modernization of equipments, vehicles, rehabilitation of cadres and accommodation the requirements that come with the normal development and the rapid growth of the Dubai Emirate, and the United Arab Emirates in general. He pointed out that these data require high flexibility in how to respond fast in order to reach the best services and the satisfaction’s level in providing advanced medical emergency services for all citizens, visitors, tourists and residents of Dubai.
He explained that the new six Ford vehicles raised the total number of the institution’s vehicles to 195 vehicles where each of these vehicle is equipped with modern tools for accidents and follow-up emergencies in addition to the serious diseases. These vehicles include air purifiers which are able to protect patients from any viruses and prevent the viruses’ transmission. Also, he pointed out that the cars are manufactured from modern and anti- shock raw materials.
