Hyundai has not been left behind in incorporating technology in their cars. In this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the automaker demonstrated the Android Wear App for Hyundai that will now see owners control certain aspects of their cars from their wrists. At this rate, this only means one thing – that in the coming years, to buy any car one will need to consider what technology is incorporated.
The app, which is more or less a scaled down version of the Blue Link app for Android phones, can be used to start or stop the engine, lock and unlock doors, flash lights or even help you locate your car in a parking among other operations. Other notable feature is the voice recognition and commands which makes it efficient and fast. If you are on a new car search, then you might want to think about a Hyundai with a first or second generation Blue Link as it is supported for this new app.
Hyundai has indicated that an Apple Watch version is on its way also. This means that your car information will be incorporated in this app and a few touches on your wrist device will determine how you control your car. This is a welcome development especially in hot seasons where a few minutes of running the air conditioning would make your drive a thousand times better.
