The Chevrolet Malibu is a quite nostalgic car, with one foot in the past millennium and one in the current one. The series ranging from 1997 to 2005 has however not escaped the Venus fly trap that is the General Motors recall due to the various niggling worries in the build and system of the car.
The Malibu was recalled due to having been diagnosed to having the infamous ignition switch glitch that renders cars prone to having their engines stall during a journey. This can be on the extreme ends of dangerous if you’re belting down the highway with other cars doing the same.
It is totally not worth it to keep having the pink slip of such a vehicle. It is high time you sold it while you still can.
