Mazda Motor Company initiated a widespread recall of its vehicles due to a concern that they have over airbags linked to Takata manufacturer. The automaker is recalling upwards of 330,000 units after heeding to a directive by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Those who give their Mazdas a high used car rating are going to have to come to terms with the fact that the car value of their 2004-2008 Mazda 6 and RX-8 models is depreciating by the second and they should thus engage themselves in the used car market before it is too late for them to make any shrewd piece of business.
There have been complaints nationwide of Takata airbags that can explode or deploy improperly. This is especially in states that have an atmosphere that records high amounts of humidity. The recall was issued to further include 2004-2005 multi-purpose vehicles as well as 2004 B series trucks.
It is on this note therefore that it would make sense to sell your ride. Despite the wonders the cars do provide, the automaker has a pretty high recall rate and you would not want to trust the safety of your family to an engineering contraption that does not guarantee your well-being to a fairly high degree.
