Mercedes-Benz has revealed its X Class Concept. The X-class will be launched next year as the first truly premium pickup truck by Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes announced the launch of this new pickup in October 2016 in a ceremony held in Stockholm. Mercedes has been producing a different range of commercial vans and luxury vehicles over the years but it’s the first time that Mercedes-Benz has made its strides into the pickup truck vehicles segment. This is why, the X-Class has created much hype in the industry. The Mercedes-Benz X Class is said to be in market for sale by late 2017.

The Exterior of Mercedes-Benz X Class Concept
Despite being a product of one of the most luxurious car brands, the Mercedes-Benz X Class Concept possesses qualities of a classic pickup i.e. tough, functional and strong. The two models, Stylish Explorer and Powerful Adventurer are produced to offer best of both the sides. Stylish Explorer is for those who like the luxurious aspects of their vehicles while the Powerful Adventurer has a rugged side to it.
The car information about the Stylish Explorer reveals that it rides on 22-inch wheels and features a full-crew cab with a compact cargo bed. In addition, the tailgate features a continuous LED light strip.
The Powerful Adventurer, on the outside, offers exceptional ground clearance and rides on chunky off-road tires. It also has an electric winch at the front and a metal hook at the back for towing purposes.
These pickups have a specially constructed suspension with wide axles, a five-link rear axle with coil springs, and a precisely calibrated spring/damper set-up that will ensure a highly comfortable ride. This is suitable for a ride in a perfect urban environment.

Interior of the Premium Mercedes-Benz X Class Concept
Various aspects of the C-Class and the V-Class will be found in the interior of the X Class. These will include high quality materials and the infotainment system.
The Stylish Explorer is tasteful and understated while maintaining the luxurious feel expected of a Mercedes-Benz product. The interior features open-pore smoked oak with aluminum accents.
For the Powerful Adventurer, the truck’s rugged pretensions are evident in its interior as well, which comes complete with a fire extinguisher.
Both the car models have advanced technological features including an infotainment display with a touch screen that is similar to a smartphone and a driver assistance technology with radars, cameras and sensors. Furthermore, the seats feature black Nappa leather that offers comfortable accommodation.
For the X class, Mercedes-Benz has offered the customers a choice of customization for the pickup from various equipment scopes.

Performance and Drive of the X Class Concept
The Mercedes-Benz X Class Concept has a turbocharged 6-cylinder diesel engine with a 4Matic permanent all-wheel drive. Furthermore, it has a transfer case with reduction gear and two differential locks to get through the tough terrain. It has a high torque which will allow the car to balance on different terrains, on and off the road. With the back metal hooks and a tough ladder type frame, it has a capability of towing up to 3,175 kg of weight.
