His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai considered that the automotive industry has become one of the industries that interest all the people of the world from all social classes, pointing that it constitutes a fertile sector for investment and a key base for the pillars of the economies of many countries which is famous with this traditional and the modern industry.
This came during his visit to the Dubai International Motor Show where His Highness praised the exhibition and described it as one of the trade fairs and promotional mission to the UAE in general and Dubai in particular, pointing out that “it is a great trade and tourism show which is for all people and all segments of society in the country, the region states and the Middle East. It is not limited to a certain class”. He said that show is one of the most important tourism attractions that contribute to the promotion of the national tourism industry which Dubai operates to develop and diversify its activities and components.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum wandered accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum with Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, the General Director of the Protocol and Hospitality Department in Dubai and Helal Saeed Al Marri, General Director of the Tourism and Commerce Marketing Department in Dubai, CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre who gave a full explanation of his Highness about the exhibition space, which averaged 65 thousand square meters, and the increase in the size of the exhibition which is the largest since its launch 20 years ago which amounted to 40% from the previous session. His Highness stopped at some cars platforms offered by the parent companies and national companies which are agents of these cars that are up to a total of about 600 cars of different styles, shapes and colors.
His Highness was welcomed by exhibitors, he exchanged them greeting and welcoming and he expressed about his satisfaction with the outstanding attendance by designing and manufacturer companies of cars from different regions and continents of the world.
Marri said that more than 150 countries presented the latest products of its specialized factories in the automotive industry and it’s technologies that keep pace with the spirit of the times and meet the needs of young people and all ages.
Marri pointed that the exhibition reflects the actual status of the UAE in the international arena and the importance of Dubai as a cosmopolitan city speaks the languages of the world and attracts the poles of the tourism, industry and diversified investment from international countries and companies that find it’s needs in Dubai. It is also a favorite tourist, promotional and marketing destination regionally and internationally.
