All the super car fans were stunningly flabbergasted to witness one of the rarest super cars Maserati MC12 Corsa at Maserati Trofeo races in Abu Dhabi few weeks ago.If you happen to remember some main breakthroughs in the super cars industry, then you will definitely recall that back in 2004 and 2005 Maserati produced its own state of the art version of the Ferrari Enzo, called the MC12. This supermodel is larger, heavier and faster than the Ferrari Enzo. It was produced primarilyto acknowledge and confirm it as a racing version of the car rather than to be categorized as a trendsetter furious car known for illegal underground street-racing car.

In order to qualify for the FIA GT, Maserati produced 55 road supercars, whereas the requirement forparticipation was to build and market at least 25 road cars similar to racing ones. Although, 5 road cars produced by Maserati never even went up for sale.

The MC12 was a spectacular piece of engineering art.It incorporated an Enzo-derived rear-wheel-drive consisting of carbon, aluminum and nomex platform. It was dynamically powered by a slightly detuned version of the Enzo’s 6.0-litre V12 copulated to a 6-speed semi-automatic, hitting 620 Horse Power and 652 Nm of torque.Thoughredline,as compared to the Ferrari’s 8200 rpm, was limited to 7500 rpm.Still, this remarkable automobile was able to reach 0-100 km/h run in 3.8 seconds, and 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds, establishing a top speed of 330 km/h.

Some facts about the amazing Maserati would be hard to digest due to its exclusivity. The car was debuted and first seen in the year 2006. This cutting edge automobile is still not street legal and is only intended for track use by their official well-off owners. Till date, only 12 units of this supercar had been built, at a hefty price of €1 million thatmade up to 5 Million AED. Besides the official 12 units, 2 units were also built and publicized for testing purposes only. The Corsa was developed in a very peculiar way. It was industrialized directly from MC12 GT1 race car that had the honor of winning the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers Cup. The Maserati is primarily responsible for the storage, preservation, management and maintenance of the cars; hence these cars require special tracks for driving.

The Corsa corresponds to the same engine that of the MC12 GT1, delivering 745 Horse Power at 8000 rpm. The MC12 Corsa also possess the front nose just like the GT1′s, shortened and levelled on the same hand. The car was available in a single blue victorycolor, although it missed the opportunity of offering assorted colors on request. The MC12 Corsa incorporated a different rear spoiler, and comes with steel-carbon racing brakes but without ABS aid. The Maserati Corsa also came in a very noticeable yellow color. It was used by the Maserati Middle East boss Umberto Cini to give the guests pleasurable rides from Trofeo to Gulf 12-Hour races. Though, Maserati Corsa is an incrediblesuper car but this astounding ride can only be witnessed on racing tracks by common folks.
