The directorate of traffic and patrols at Abu Dhabi police announced for starting to implement of the penalty for the vehicles’ tinting violations in Abu Dhabi according to the federal traffic law where the violation is up to 500AED for anyone violates this role in Abu Dhabi and also the car will be reserved for a period of 30 days. Before this new announcement, the violations were up to 10 thousand dirham in Abu Dhabi where the law of the state allows anyone to tint the vehicle by 30% for the sides and back windows only and the tint color should be light brown.
The brigadier engineer who is Hussein Al Harthy, Director of traffic and patrols department in the state confirmed that all sections of irregularities in the directorate currently applying what is contained in the federal traffic law and its implementing regulations where the value of the violation for anyone violates the role of tinting the vehicle is 500 AED and reserving the vehicle for 30 days. Thefederal traffic law gives for the traffic authorities in each emirate the authority to tighten and raise the violations values on some irregularities in the many cases if the authoritiessaw that this violation is very dangerous and affects the law of traffic in the state or it has an impact on the level of traffic’s accidents and deaths and injuries from this violation where statistics showed that the vehicles’ tinting irregularities in Abu Dhabi has seen a remarkable rise but after increasing the violation value to 10 thousand dirham, the level of these violations has decreased.
The traffic authorities in Abu Dhabi recommends all the drivers to follow the traffic’s law and don’t violate it in order to avoid any accidents that might harm many people. Also, we recommend drivers to see the traffic’s law of the state to be updates with any new roles.
