The Yas Marina Circuit is the venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The circuit was planned by H. Tilke and is situated on Yas Island, about 30 minutes from the capital, Abu Dhabi. Yas Marina is the second F1 track in the Middle East, with the first in Bahrain. The twenty-one corners twist through Yas island off the Abu Dhabi coast transient by the marina and through the Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi Hotel planned and made by New York based architects Hani Rashid and winding its way through desert sand dunes, with several long straights and tight corners.
The circuit was constructed by main contractor Cebarco , under agreement from developer Aldar Properties. Among the sub-contractors concerned were structural contracter KOH AH HING from Malaysia; Voltas , Siemens , Able-Middle East , Hamilton International for interior designing, Bau Bickhardt for track construction and Unger Steel for steel structure.
The circuits also have a permanent lighting system designed by Musco Lighting, similar to that also installed at the Qatar. Yas Marina Circuit is the largest sports venue lighting project in the world prior to Abu Dhabi, it was held by Losail
The circuit was welcomed by the drivers, with Nico Rosberg commenting that every corner was unique after the first practice sessions at the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, while Double Formula One Champion Fernando Alonso conveyed his sentiments, stating that it was pleasurable because there was always amazing to do. Force India’s Adrian Sutil rated the circuit as being superior than F1’s other night race in Singapore as he felt there was bright light at Marina Bay.
Not all of the drivers were admiring, with many drivers expressing track objectionable pit exit, which dips beneath the major circuit by path of a tunnel. Although the pit exit remained free of incidents for the early practice sessions but many drivers claimed it be dangerous. As the whole
