Dubai residents with a special love and affection for both luxury wheels and gold had a dream run this month. Dubai Motor Show had on showcase some of the world’s most exclusive vehicles, including the very famous and talked about fleet of Dubai Police supercars featuring Mercedes G63, Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R which definitely is a point of envy for many.
But the story does not end here as next came the Dubai Grand Parade, which also had on showcase ultra-luxury and vintage vehicles, including Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1 Car, the Roadster ZTR, McLaren MP4-12C, and many more awe inspiring and jaw dropping supercars and bikes.
The showstopper for the parade and the show was a model of the world’s most expensive car, crafted using a solid block of 500kg gold. It was later put on a display at a mall before being sent for the global auto show. 7.4 Million $ is the price that has been set by Lamborghini and Robert Gülpen, the car’s designer for the auction of the world’s most expensive car ever manufactured – the gold Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. And if you think that the car is all for looks and doesn’t make a mark over performance you had better think again. The Aventador boasts its power and speed thanks to V12 engine and a massive 700bhp. The Aventador LP700-4 has a 7-speed transmission, and attains 100kmph in just under 3 seconds.
Lamborghini plans to auction the customised and personalised vehicle, but in case they end up with a buyer who wants to stay away from the bidding process and rather buy it now itself, the maker has made it clear that they shall be more than happy to accept a Dh27 million offer. This gives buyer with an added advantage of exclusivity and the buyer can even choose to personalise details of the car as per his/her need.
Also interesting to know that car has already made 3 world records – firstly it is the most expensive car ever, it also is the car with the most secure showcase ever made from bulletproof glass, and the car featuring with most luxurious and an expensive logo.
