The Emirati driver “Khaled Al Qubaisi” confirmed his willingness to go through his greatest challenge in his career at the time that the “Abu Dhabi Black Falcon” team is looking forward to achieve the hat-trick and win for the third time in a row in the Dunlop 24-hour race at Dubai. Al Qubaisi shares the driving in the first team car which is Mercedes – Benz AMG SLS GT3 along with all of Bernd Schneider, Dutchman Jeroen Blakmolin and Swede Andreas Saimmonsn where Al Qubaisi knows very well the difficulty of the challenge for him and the team at the Dubai Autodrome ring.
In spite of the force participation where the ninth session of the world endurance race is experiencing wide and strong participation with 80 teams and 400 drivers from more than 40 countries around the world but the Emirati champion expressed his confidence for his team and its capabilities to win the race for the third time in a row.
During his speech at the press conference held specifically to talk about the team’s preparations for the difficult challenge which was attended by Schneider, Blakmolin, Saimmonsn and team manager Sean Breslin, Al Qubaisi – the Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Company for racing said: “Winning this race is not easy and the defending champions have much harder task where winning it for the third time in a row is a great challenge. Everyone is looking forward to win this year and beat us and many people look forward to see us as winners and all eyes on us”.
The team won the “Gulf 12 hours” race on the ground of Yas Marina Circuit in where Al Qubaisi shared the driving along both Schneider and Blakmolin contributed to shed more light on the “Abu Dhabi Black Falcon” team in addition to the confidence of Al Qubaisi with the huge capabilities of the team to win again in the Dubai race. Also, he said: “the task is difficult but not impossible. There are at least six teams which are capable of winning and all of them have superior cars and skilled drivers. At the same time, the incidence of errors will be high in a race like this where another car could hit you and gets you out of the competition or causing mechanical problems which will be difficult to solve or a hole in the tire and any other problems that you don’t have the ability to control them”.
