BMW M6 Cabrio tuned by BBM Motorsport

In this year the latest super tune came from BBM Motorsport and its BMW M6 Cabrio which is tuned for a significant power boost by the tuners of BBM Motorsport. This is one of the most impressive tuning of 2013.

Originally, the BMW M6 is powered by the S53Tu 4.4 liter V8 Twin Power turbocharged engine engaging the M division’s patented manifold that evenly spaces out exhaust pulses. With a peak turbo boost of 21.7 psi, the M-built engine produces 560 hp and 500 pound-feet of torque delivered in a flat band between 1500 and 5750 rpm. The car hit 0 – 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, while top speed is limited to 155 mph.

At first the intention was to change the color of the BMW M6 Cabrio and they called in SFT Carwrap for this task. Later the M6 was modified with an expensive matte steel-blue body wrap and accented with gunpowder shades. A set of 21-inch Breyton Spirit R types alloy wheels were also installed along with a KW suspension kit that maintains the car handling extremely well even with all the power upgrades installation it received.

The interior of the M6 Cabrio also gets its own new digs, including developed M sports seats, Merino extended leather upholstery, door sills with “M6” lettering, an M driver’s footrest and exclusive carbon fiber interior trim. The car’s roof is made from natural color Carbon Fiber Composite and comes painted in a dark color. It can be operated at speeds of up to 25 mph and takes 19 seconds to open and 24 seconds to close again.

Though no performance statistics were given, but after car inspection it is assumed that BBM Motorsport used only a little time giving the M6 Cabrio a huge engine customization, something it accomplished by remapping the ECU and mounting a complete Akrapovic exhaust with carbon end pipes. With these upgrades, the aftermarket company was able to increase the output of the M6 to an insane 705 horsepower and 636 pound-feet of torque, a significant rise from the standard 560-horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque output of the standard model which certainly makes a difference and can hit 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds to go with a top speed of 190 mph.

By the way, the tuned by BBM Motorsport BMW M6 Cabrio as worthy 850 Csi successor can be admired together with the recent VW Golf VII GTI of BBM in hall 8 stand 130 of the Essen Motor show.
