The car export business of the world’s largest premium car maker may experience some rough waters due to the large recall of automobiles that was initiated. The recall encompasses a total hovering around the 1.3 million mark. Among these 4,000 are expected to be of UAE origin.
AGMC General Manager Kevin Hughes said the number of the recalled cars from the United Arab Emirates was 4,297 units whose production dates span the period from 2003 to 2010. The car rating of the brand has been on quite a high due to the quality of the service as well as that of the products themselves. On this note Hughes further maintains that safety of customers is paramount and that is why they are being contacted by way of the call center so that they can get their vehicles in for checking and rectification – a process short in duration and bereft of cost.
The rub lies in the fact that the battery cable cover in the trunk may have a problem. A statement by the renowned German car maker said that the element in some cases may be incorrectly mounted. Car evaluation by the company revealed that the problem was existent in less than one percentage of the units examined.
