In 2013, the “Investigation Team” in Dubai which is a part of the general directorate of traffic at Dubai police has booked about 356 cars because they have made many violations in the city and their owners did not pay the violations on time and they did not renew their driving licenses on time according to the director of administration who is the generalmajor Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen where he pointed out that the investigation team has recovered about one million and 871 thousand violations since its establishment in 2009. The owners of these cars refused to pay their violations on the specified time by the traffic’s authorities.
General major Mohammed Saif Al Zafeentold the reporters that the investigation team is working very hard to correct the violations that are manipulated by the drivers of some vehicles on the road where the number of these violations reached to 4200 violations during 2013 year. Also, he mentioned that the drivers manipulate these violations by using many different ways such as hiding the vehicle’s front plate or deleting the numbers and letters of the vehicle’s plate with certain ways such as cutting the plate from the middle part or erasing some numbers or litters from it to be two or three instead of five. There are various and strange manipulation ways such as putting a screw on numberzero to be like numbereight in addition to put one plate in front of the car and a different plate in rear of the car plus erasing the code.
He added that some drivers are also installing forged plates on their cars and these violations are investigated in coordination with the RTA where if the committee discovered that this person made this in purpose, the owner will be transferred to the police station in order to take a legal action against him. He pointed out that he is shifting from just traffic’s violator to be accused with a punishablecrime by the law of the country.
He explained that the total violations that have been corrected by the investigation team during 2013 are about 46 thousand and 722 violations. Also, the team published a generalization for about 403 violated vehicles and about 208 pledges in addition to other 2,017 violations in this context. The traffic’s authorities recommend the citizens and residents as well to pay any late violation on their cars in order to avoid any problems in the future.
