A recent survey by an automotive consultancy firm indicates that many car owners are disappointed and frustrated with the infotainment features car manufacturers are fixing into cars. They claim that car makers have over years been installing increasingly complex and sophiscated infotainment systems in their cars though the study indicates it as a waste of time. Most of the new vehicles available for car export to various locations all over the world have too many tech features aimed at increasing the performance, safety and comfort of the car among others while on road.

The study points out that infotainment features like voice recognition, smart phone integration, configurable instrument panels and applications among other were the most unwelcomed features fitted in the car to increase the car rating in terms of technology. The goal that car makers want to achieve through loading cars with infotainment systems is to attract younger buyers and drive up profit margins however, it has created dissatisfaction among the car buyers. A person can complain pointing out the fact that if his /her smart phone has google maps installed then why should his /her car have a navigation system.

The study further proved that many people who buy cars from the car market are completely unaware of a variety of the features like in-dash hard drives for music storage, CD players and concierge services all making up the infotainment system. The results from the survey argue automakers to stick to what they know best and leave complex technology to companies well-versed with it.
