It is possible to say that the car history was predictable by the people who wanted to simplify the means of transport, but the future of the car with the current technology, is unpredictable. Borrowing a leaf from the book of driverless vehicles like drones and google driving cars , Chevrolet has publicized a new concept car at this year’s Shanghai Motor Show called the ‘FNR’.
With the ongoing testing and military implementation of driverless vehicles, it is evident that car information will drastically change from the current days of having drivers operate a car to self-driven cars. Developed in Shanghai by GM’s Asia tech hub, with features like crystal laser head- and tail- lights, wheels with magnetic electric motors, a wireless charging system, ‘dragonfly’ upwards-opening doors and a body shape that is far from ordinary is the future technology and design we are yet to be familiar with. This car has the extra sense above the ordinary cars of communicating with the others over a network.
An “iris recognition” start system gives it a car rating position close to one of the greatest invention. There is a roof-mounted radar that maps the surrounding environment for it to meander without knocking external objects like walls, big stone among others. Chevy points out that the FNR concept can also serve as a ‘personal assistant’ to map out a preferred route from the various route in light from the start to destination. The car is loaded with a range of intelligent technological advancements like gesture control, swivel seats various sensors, among others thereby increasing the car valuation and putting the car at an advantage in terms of car assessment.
It sounds ridiculous and unbelievable but the future of cars with the current and improving technology is a science fiction movie being implemented in our everyday lives.
