Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi made great strides in carving out a piece of the world of car manufacturer and car export by unleashing onto the market the Pajero brand which has gone on to literally cross seas to far flung areas of the globe.
Just like any business venture, there are ups and downs in the automobile industry. There are those downs that are costs of doing business and one has to expect them regardless of how many contingencies have been put in place. In the car business, one has to expect that there will be complaints of faults in the car filed by the users. The manufacturer can then proceed to look into the matter.
At Mitsubishi, the manufacturer has to deal with a problem that was reported in the Pajero four wheel drive models that were built between October 2006 and March 2014. The car rating of the fleet could go down due to an improperly adjusted timing chain tensioner which could cause the chain to break. The consequences of this are in the red zone of the scale seeing that this causes the engine to stall and cannot be restarted. On a busy highway or intersection, one is a sitting duck in the Pajero.
The used car market is a pretty good option right about now and one should let this model go before the reverse is true.
