The administration of licensing management and drivers in Abu Dhabi police tries to complete the electronic link with the banks and agencies that sell new vehicles in the country by the end of this year according to the head of the of Vehicle Licensing Department, Colonel Suhail Al Khaili who stressed that the completion of one transaction one with any service center where there are 48 centers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi takes less than five minutes with this new system. He said that the link with the banks will provide data on the mortgage status for vehicles when people want to get licensing services that require mortgage redemption or the provision of non-objection from the bank. This link with the cars’ agencies and cars’ exhibitions through electronic forms for sales’ models will include some data to make it easier for citizens and residents to save time and effort.
He said that this system is a part of the integrated interconnection project where the link will be between insurance companies, centers of Abu Dhabi National Oil Technical Inspection Company (ADNOC), customs, nationality and residence committees and inspection stations which are subsidiary of Emirates Transport agency. He mentioned that the link process identified the responsibility in case of any errors during the transaction.
He explained that the link with Customs facilitate us to deal with imported vehicles’ data from outside the country electronically and facilitate the procedures for licensing plus preventing any errors where this system enables the two sides to deal electronically and the completion of issuing the licenses could be done by the administration where it can enter the vehicle’s data and all related information electronically, and dispensing the paper documents. He confirmed on the accuracy of the provided information and the difficulty of forgery where he pointed out that the system will display the vehicle’s data automatically when the employee starts the registration process.
For the linking with insurance sector, the system allows customers to accomplish their transactions without providing or showing any papers as the system provides all the data related to the insurance policy and the owner of the vehicle as well in addition to its type electronically. This system will finish the transaction very fast and accurately where there will be no need for any papers like before and it saves a lot of time and effort in the process of license renewal and vehicle registration.
