One of the most prominent models offered by this big company over the ages was the 250 model with its various models. These models were varied between the“SWB”model that has a short wheelbase, “LWB” model that has a long wheelbase, convertible Spyderand the sport GT in addition to many other versions. However, the most prominent style for many cars’ enthusiasts in general and in particular the Ferrari fans is the special model which is “GTO250” which was designed by Ferrari specifically to take part in the third round of the “FIA GT” race. Ferrari has named this car 250 because this number reflects the engine’s capacity by cubic inches where the engine has a capacity of 4000 CC and GTO meansGrand TurismoOmologatoin another meaning Grand Touring Homologated which means that this car has a license from the organization of the “FIA”to participate in the Grand Touringracing.
This means that it is a race car to the core which is not a new thing for Ferrari Company especially that the designer of this car is Sergio Skality and he is one of the leading designers of racing cars bearing the symbol of wild horse. The GTO250 car is provided with “SWB”wheelbase but the engineer Giotto Bizzarrini has replaced the engine of this car with the engine of TestaRossa250 and worked with Skality to develop the outside body of the car but after an intense disagreement with Enzo, Ferrari fired a lot of engineers, technicians and operators of the project including Bizzarriniand this project was handed over to the Mauro Vorjary to complete it.
Mauro Vorjaryhas worked with Sergio Skality to develop the exterior design of the car by using the simulate windtunnel and many tests on circuits. Unlike most of the Ferrari’s cars, the company did not assign the exterior design to any other company but the company itselfhas designed and developed it inside its factory and the car proved itself strongly in the racingmarket world where it achieved the second place in a big racing championship. Also, it has managed to win the title of its class which is higher than 2000 CC for three consecutive years in the International FIA race for Automobile Manufacturers.
