Reasons for the Accidents on the First Day

The deputy director of the Command and Control Room at Dubai Police’s Operations Department, Lt Col Khazraj Al Khazraji, stated that only two of the 250 accidents caused serious injuries to the motorists while other accidents were minor in nature. Most of the accidents occurred close to the Iftar time.

In the rush hours, motorists did not care to leave enough distance between the vehicles due to their lack of attention and it led to the occurrence of accidents. The Lt Col Khazraj Al Khazraji asked the motorists to remain extra careful especially while driving through the residential areas where a number of pedestrians pass the road constantly.

Spirit of Ramadan

The Holy month of the Ramadan teaches to be patient and care for others and that is also the message from the traffic authorities in the UAE. Motorists should drive safe and avoid putting multiple lives in dangers due to their reckless driving in the Holy month of Ramadan.
