Ford started introducing their hatchback cars not so long ago, however, the company has been a key player in Automobiles market with nothing but quality and excellence.
In this article we will show you the results of our test drive of the Ford Focus St 2013. What really urged us to write this review is the low price of the vehicle here in UAE compared to other vehicles in the same category. The car is priced 20,000 AED less than its competitor the Golf GTi.
Exterior
At the very first sight of this car, I was really surprised with its big front lights and its wide grill. The car design is smooth and aerodynamic. I won’t say this is the most beautiful hatchback I’ve seen ever; however, I can confidently say that it has both the looks and the functionality with its 5 doors design.
Interior and Technology
Getting inside the car you’ll immediately notice the buttons all over the dashboard. The buttons in this car are somehow small which makes it hard to use without having to take your sight off the road. The car has an excellent sound system which will be a huge appeal to the youth of course.
Technology wise, you will get a control of speed, Bluetooth, and automatic front lights. However, the front lights are not xenon which lessen from the looks of this car.
Space
The inside space is acceptable but not large, the comfortable space can definitely be noticed in the front seats and it narrows a bit in the back seats. The trunk space is also acceptable and it can accommodate a decent amount of materials.
Driving technologies and fuel economy
The car comes with manual transmission, but the transmission is of decent quality. The eye vision is great from every angle and the driving experience is smooth and easy.
The car is economical when it comes to fuel consumption as it consumes 10 L per 100 Km on low speed and the number gets down to 6-7 L per 100 Km with higher speeds.
Performance
If you believe the low price will be associated with low power then you are wrong. The can comes with 252 Hp and 360 Nm engine, this is surprisingly higher by 45 Hp than the Golf GTi, and you can certainly feel those numbers in action.
Summary
I certainly believe the car takes its place in the hatchback cars market. The car excels when it comes to price and the driving experience is definitely worth trying.
