Ford Involved in Numerous Recalls Due to Overheated Breaks

When it is time to acquire to an automobile, many people find it easier to tap into the used car market and get themselves pre-owned cars. Bar the fact that it is far easier to shake hands on such deals, such cars also have inherent problems of their own. 

Over the years Ford has been involved in major recalls to fix this problem or the other. If you happen to be in possession of various models of Ford that were rolled off the line around 1996, you may have a fire hazard on your hands. These models were recalled due to the fact that a small electronic switch with a function to deactivate the cruise control function on application of the brake could overheat and thus result in a fire. An ignition switch problem also rendered older models prone to a fire within the steering column.

The latest recall is seeing the car valuation of the Ford fleet circle the drain. The recall has been issued due to the fact that there is a latch that is faulty that causes the door to open at any time which is just a bed of hazards. The recall encompasses over half a million Ford Fusions (a crowd favorite) as well as Lincoln MKZ.
