With a high car rating for its fleet of automobile models, one would probably expect Mercedes Benz to have sewn its production system so tight that there would be no problems in the cars that it brings on to the car market.
The reverse is actually true. Since making mistakes and errors is part and parcel of what it means to be human, man made things are riddled with the stuff albeit to varying degrees according to the care taken when making them.
The Mercedes Benz GLK class is an impressive piece of machinery and due to the quality assigned to it by the manufacturer, there are rarely any negatives voiced out about it making it worth its car price estimate. It has however been the subject of a car recall.
The GLK was recalled by the German auto manufacturer due to the fact that it may spring a fuel leak. Apparently fuel leaks in the plug area of the drain opening may occur at the fuel filter with integrated fuel heaters. This leads to a strong odor of diesel in the interior. There are reports of the diesel finding its way to the road and thus reducing the friction between the road and tires; a recipe for accidents.
