The Korean carmaker company has released the optima with a head-turning design and sporty performance whose identity is based on the previous model of KIA. The previous KIA model is the most successful model in the US car market currently. The new KIA model has slightly been modified in size with additional use of bi-functional HID headlamps and LED tail lamps.
The interior of the optima is upgraded to add more soft-touch surfaces, metallic accents and more premium materials which are used in assessing car value. The optima also features KIA’s new connectivity system, UVO in addition to android and iPhone Car Play system which enables driver access their smartphone functions through the 8-inch touchscreen display. A standard six-speaker audio system is put in these new models. Minimizing the amount of switchgear is emphasized to keep the interior very clean.
It has three engine options namely: 2.4-litre with four-cylinder motor that produces 136kW at 6000kW and 241N.m of torque at 4000r/min. Two new turbo petrol engines, an 182kW/353 N.m 2.0 litre and 131 kW/264 N.m 1.6-litre. The larger engines are paired with six-speed dual-clutch transmission. This gives the person going to buy an optima an option to choose from the different engines that can be deployed in the optima.
This car is a fresh alternative in the midsize sedan since it retains the signature personality of its predecessor though it has literally improved all the car features.
