Five years ago, the cell phones occupied the forefront of technological innovations. In 2010, the focus was on tablets and now companies spend billions on investment which is called the next digital arena “cars”. The law in Britain prohibited the use of cell phones while driving since 2003 but ten years later, the automakers began to think that the technologies used in smart phones will change the way that we use our cars.

This means that these companies wanted to implement the culture of electronic applications in the cars, starting with a service that identifies the available parking spaces and booking local restaurants or see directions that displayed in front of the driver on the car’s front windshield. All these services depend on connecting the vehicle to the internet in order to facilitate these services. This will allow the flow of information without bothering to search or click on the buttons as they rely heavily on voice commands issued by the commander of the vehicle. “Intel” Company believes that the vehicles connected to the internet are the third fastest growing technologies after phones and tablet devices. Jack Bergist from the “IHS” company for information said that the “Ford Motor” Company announced emphatically that this feature enhances sales of its cars.

He added: “more than 50 percent of consumers tempted by the existence of device that has the ability to connect to the internet inside their cars”. The news headlines of newspapers currently focus on use of the social media or internet radio stations or any other smart ways that work using voice commands while the internet can be used in things more simply and in a practical manner. There are already applications that define the local stations places to refuel and the fuel’s prices as well and allow drivers to locate a few farther miles that enable them to minimize the expenditures when they refuel their cars.

“Intel” company alone will invest about 100 billion dollars over the next five years in companies working to accelerate the use of the internet in vehicles. Also, Bergist said: “in 2014, most of the cars provided by the big companies are equipped with some kind of internet connection”. He added: “by looking to the cost of full design for one of these new vehicles, we will find that some companies spend about a third of its budget to provide media tools and technological systems in their vehicles in order to increase the sales”.
