The locally built Sharjah Radars have caught 347 traffic violations in a week on Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road. The increasing number of violations highlights reckless driving attitude of motorists in the city. Traffic issues all over the UAE don’t seem to come to an end just because of careless driving behavior of motorists putting multiple lives in danger. The recent 347 violations were recorded by new locally made Radars on the Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road.
Traffic Violation Recorded in One Week
Multiple traffic violations have been recorded in just one week only on Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road. The continuity of traffic violations committed by motorists highlights the need for more visibility of Police on roads. The reckless motorists don’t seem to worry enough for Radars set to record their violations.

Following are the most frequent traffic violations made in one week on Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road:
- Hard Shoulder Violations
- Lane Swerving
- Traffic Obstruction
- Over-Speeding
The new radars which have been locally built are highly efficient and are designed to not miss a single violation. The 347 recorded violations in one week show the accuracy and efficiency of these radars in Sharjah. The locally built radars have a high-resolution camera and advanced systems for capturing photos and videos.

Roads in Sharjah with the New Locally Made Radars
The New Radars have been designed and built by General Headquarters of Sharjah Police in association with Departments of Traffic and Patrols and Electronic Services and Telecommunications. These radars were activated last month on 21st of August on most of the major roads of Sharjah. A total of 10 radars has so far been set on different roads including, Al Ittihad Road, Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed and Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road. More of these radars will be installed in near future as told by the Dubai Police. These radars are part of the strategy of Interior Ministry to reduce traffic congestion up to 30% in the city.
