The Ministry of Energy has announced the new fuel prices and motorists will have to pay more for fuel in the month of March. The i fuel price increase in March is not massive but the regular increase since December 2016 has certainly mounted pressure on motorists to manage their fuel expenses better. New Fuel Prices for the Month of March
Fuel prices decreased slightly in December 2016 but the first three months of 2017 were not good for motorists as fuel prices have risen every month. The hike received in February was the highest in the past 12 months which was bad news for motorists.
Fuel Prices will again rise in the month of March. While the petrol price has been increased by 3 fills, the diesel price receives an increase by 2 fills.
Following are the new fuel prices by fuel-type:
- Super 98 will now be priced at AED 2.03 per litre. In February, the price of Super 98 was AED 2.0 per litre.
- Updated price of Special 95 is AED 1.92 per litre. In February, the Special 95 was sold at AED 1.89 per litre.
- Price of E Plus-91 for the month of March will be AED 1.85 per litre. Its price for last month was AED 1.82 per litre.
- New price of Diesel has been increased from AED 2.00 per litre in February to AED 2.02 per litre in March.
Currently, the price for oil is trading higher internationally thanks to a historical agreement signed between Opec and Non-Opec countries. In line with this agreement, production of oil has been reduced to about 1.8 million barrels per day in order to maintain the oil prices. This agreement is going to stay valid for first six months of 2017.
