Eleven MINI ALL4 Racing cars will participate in Dakar Rally between 5 and 18 January 2014, the cars are specialized for the full drive system and they will participate with the X-raid team. The MINI ALL4 Racing cars are excelled in 2012 and 2013 at the toughest race in the world. The French “Stephane Peterhansel” won the latest two races in Dakar behind the MINI ALL4 Racing car wheel which belongs to the “Monster Energy X-raid team”.
And then John Cooper saw a promising sport car based and began modifying the classic Mini car to enter the world of auto racing. In 1959, Mini won the national “Mille Miglia” race. In the sixties of the last century, Mini won the “Monte Carlo” three times and almost won the fourth race. And today, the name of John Cooper is still keyed with MINI sign through “John Cooper Works” group that represents the sport image of the car with exclusive models and performance characteristic extensions.
The 2014 Dakar race considers being another milestone in the MINI record in the toughest race in the world. Did not happen before that this number of MINI ALL4 Racing cars participated in the Dakar Rally like the 36th session of the race as it involved 11 MINI cars to win the title. In 2011, MINI ALL4 Racing car launched for the first time in the famous Dakar Rally. The MINI ALL4 Racing which is inspired by the MINI “John Cooper Works Countryman” car proved that it is up to the competition and it won the hearts of fans around the world since it’s launched”.
After just one year, five MINI ALL4 Racing cars participated in Dakar race. MINI has appeared for the third time on the stage of the Dakar in January 2013 and again with five MINI ALL4 Racing cars. It has maintained its title from the first attempt.
MINI ALL4 Racing car and X-raid team achieved a strong performance by winning two important events before the Dakar race 2014 which are the World Cup of the crossing the lands race with the Polish driver “Krystof Holwetch” and the difficult “OiLibya Morocco” race with the Argentine driver “Orlando Terranova”, and both drove MINI ALL4 Racing cars to achieve these great titles.
