The new Mercedes S65 AMG

You all know the special edition BMW 760Li V12 M Bi-Turbo which is conceptualized and produced exclusivity for the Middle East market and which is the is the first 7 Series model to be released under the M badge. The 760Li is powered by a 6.0-litre V12 Twin-Turbo charged engine that produces 544hp, 750 Nm of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission that catapults the sedan from 0 to 100km/h in 4.6 seconds.
To our great surprise, Mercedes Benz released another ‘pleasant’ V12-surprise by launching the first pictures and specs of the new Mercedes S 65 AMG. With twelve cylinders, twin-turbocharging, 463 kW (630 hp) of output and an amazing 1000 newton metres (!) of torque, this new S 65 AMG sets new standards as the most powerful vehicle in its segment of the market.
So, is the Mercedes S65 AMG V12 biturbo indeed much better than the other amazing European competitors such as the German BMW 760Li V12 M Bi-Turbo, the also Stuttgart-based Porsche Panamera Turbo, the British Bentley Flying Spur or the Italian Maserati Quattroporte GTS? More to that later.

Mercedes sees that the S 65 AMG offers supreme exclusivity in design and equipment specification and that the two innovations, the head-up display and the touchpad, represent further enhancements in terms of comfort and safety.
And although BMW launched the BMW 760Li V12 M Bi-Turbo last week at the 2013 Dubai Motor Show, Mercedes Benz stated that the S 65 AMG is the only high-performance 12-cylinder automobile from a German premium manufacturer, adding that is a car with a pedigree since the first generation of the S 65 AMG was launched in 2003, with the second generation being produced from 2006 until 2013.e AMG 6.0-litre V12 biturbo engine.
