Some experts in the automotives field were able to manufacture a new type of paint which is called “pearl paints” by using a material made of “mica” where the innovative paint is made by a special way to give a pearl shine plus adding the bonding material which is the “varnish” and all the metal surfaces are painted with this material such as cars where the cost of this paint does not exceed 20% of the imported paint’s cost. The “mica” is a metal all the types of this metal can be converted to thin pieces where these pieces’ color could be ranged from colorless to shades of yellow, green, red, brown and black.
“Mica” is existed in many rocks on the earth’s crust where it represents an important part of igneous rocks and it is a result of pressure, temperature and water. Because the softness of this metal, it has to be mined first and the most important mining areas are “Alps” mountains, “Rocky” mountains, Canada, India, Madagascar, Russia, Brazil and South Africa. The “mica” is available with several types and the most famous types are black and white.
The color of the car is the most important feature for the purchasers but in spite of the great importance of car’s color which is very essential for the car’s owners, the color for the cars’ manufacturers in the world is the less important factor than the total multiple processes for automotive paint and give them the desired color as it is considered a minor factor compared to the developmental processes targeted by the global manufacturers. These important points are the approval for the importance of this invention.
In this regard, Tony Henry who is the head of quality assurance engineers in the global “Nissan” factories said: “the color of the car is as important as the present wrapping paper and he pointed out the importance of color to attract customers to buy new cars”. A study carried out by the American “Pantone” company for cars painting systems mentioned that the American customer prefer the special colors such as pearl silver and white. Also, the study mentioned that the choice of the car’s color reflects mainly the modern fashion while a similar Spanish study mentioned that the color has a big role in the marketing process as it is a powerful weapon in the business of selling cars in the whole world.
