Production of the Chevrolet SS to be halted

What was expected to be a stroke of genius by the folks over at General Motors slowly turned into a gross miscalculation. I am talking about the move by the American car maker to ship in the Commodore from GM Holden in Australia after what is considered a viable car assessment.

Onto the Commodore they slapped the label Chevrolet SS. On its own the SS is an excellent car, with its monstrous 6.2 liter V8 engine just like the Corvette. Despite the disparity with other cars in the Chevy fleet, the rear wheel drive was also not so bad. The deal breaker came in when GM set the price at $44,470 for the base variant alone. This alienated the potential buyers in the car market and thus left many on the dealership floor collecting films upon films of dust.

As the flagship sedan for Chevrolet, the features provided are more than good and thus one will have the overwhelming urge to keep it as part of their personal assets. The line is however all set to be discontinued and as such one may find it hard to get it off their hands since its price may creep up and buyers on the used car market will find it overpriced and distance themselves. Now is the time to get into advertising used car before GM closes the plant in Australia.
