The satin aluminum tailpipe finishes make the rear of the vehicle even classier and sportier. The second engine option available is the M Performance 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine that is capable of generating 355 horsepower, 343 lb-ft of torque and the vehicle can go from 0 to 60mph in just 4.7 seconds.
Available in the X4 M40i trim, this is the most powerful M Performance gasoline engine to date with nearly 18% performance improvement and 14% torque increase. Both of these engines are lightweight and guarantee a smooth performance, thanks to the addition of BMW’s award-winning High Precision Direct Injection, Valvetronic and Double-VANOS technologies.
These engines are paired with an 8-speed Sport Automatic transmission with sport and manual shift modes. BMW’s Driving Dynamics is also part of the 2018 X4 and features ECO PRO, COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+ settings for the driver to choose from.
The performance is further enhanced with the Performance Control feature that smoothly distributes the power between the rear wheels so that the driver has the perfect balance between sporty handling and optimal agility.
