Abu Dhabi Police has announced that as many as 576 motorists got their black points reduced during the first six months of 2021 by taking the awareness classes. Colonel Ahmed Jumaa Al Khaili, Acting Director of the Police Follow-up and Aftercare Department in the Community Security Sector, stated that the department has recorded impressive performance indicators during the first six months of 2021 after the launch of the “Do not accumulate your points” initiative. He mentioned that the initiative focuses on modern-day technologies to improve road etiquette of motorists.

Details of the Traffic Points Reduction Programme
The traffic programme is divided into three categories. The first category is for those who have 23 black points against their license. Such motorists can get 8 points reduced per year against their license by taking awareness classes. The second category is for those who have 24 points against their license and their license has been suspended as a result. The third category is for those who have received the order of their vehicle’s confiscation.
