The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is well-renowned for taking positive initiatives to improve the standard of its services for customers in Dubai. RTA has changed the outlook of transport sector with many notable developments this year, which have made commuting more pleasurable than ever before. In one of the major developments of the year, the modern-day transport authority has announced that car owners with Dubai-registered vehicles in the emirate as well as Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah will now be able to get most of the essential licensing and registration services at their doorstep. This huge development will make life a lot easier for motorists as they will not have to visit an RTA facility to complete different licensing and registration procedures. RTA has also announced the names of services that motorists will be able to get at their doorstep.

Details of the New RTA Initiative
RTA has launched a new initiative titled, “Reach-out-to-Customers” in partnership with Tasjeel to provide most of its essential services to motorists at their doorstep. RTA has announced that it will reach out to customers on their demand anywhere in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah under the new initiative. RTA has also confirmed its plans to take this initiative to other emirates in future with the support of various service providers.
This new initiative will cater to the benefits of motorists as they will no longer need to visit an RTA service center to complete important licensing and registration procedures or to get done with vehicle-related transactions. RTA has released the names of the important services that motorists will soon be able to avail anywhere in Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah from the comfort of their homes.
Some of these major services are given below:
- Vehicle Ownership
- Vehicle Export
- Transfer of Ownership
- Mobile Vehicle Inspection
Apart from these services, Tasjeel will also provide motorists with many other services at their doorstep for which in the past motorists needed to visit RTA service centers. Motorists will need to pay an extra fee to get benefitted from this new facility by RTA. Motorists in Dubai will be able to benefit from this facility in just AED 300 while motorists in Sharjah will need to pay AED 350 to get RTA services at their doorstep.

Official Statement
RTA continues the tradition of bringing something new and beneficial to motorists with the launch of its recent initiative, Reach-out-to-Customers. Sultan Al Marzouqi, Director of Vehicle Licensing at RTA’s Licensing Agency, said that RTA is looking to offer convenience to customers with this new initiative. He added that RTA will provide all its essential services to customers anywhere in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah with the help of Tasjeel. He mentioned that Tasjeel will also carry out transactions of customers in the most transparent and hassle-free manner.
Sultan Al Marzouqi said that a number of RTA services require physical presence of the customers at RTA service centers, however, the new initiative will make things a lot easier and allow motorists to avail RTA services from the comfort of their homes.
