In the car history, no car has ever been built that is problem-proof no matter which car company, however with the increase in technology, systems have been set-up in modern cars on the Dubai car market that can easily detect what the problem is on the car. These are some of the common ways of troubleshooting common car problems.

  1. When a car cannot start and the engine doesn’t turn, it’s advisable to check whether the car has gas and if yes, then you try testing an electrically powered car feature such as the horn. If the horn is dead, then check the battery connections to see if it holds a charge at all. If it has a charge, find the starter and tap gently on the starter case. If these things do not help then call your mechanic.
  2. If a car can’t start but its engine turns, making an unusual sound. It can mean the starter / alternator have faulty or that the battery can no longer hold a charge. Check to see if any lights were left on and check the date on the battery. In this situation, a driver is advised to jump-start the car.
  3. The side-to-side motion of the car while driving can be caused by a bad tire. The diver is advised to check the car tires for any anomaly however, if he/she cannot find the problem then should contact a trusted auto repair shop.
  4. Failure to start can be linked to the problem of flashing of dashboard lights. In this state, reset the car system by unplugging the cable and the after 10 minutes you reconnect them. Take the car to your mechanic if the flashing continues.
  5. If one or more of these accessories like horn, lights and wipers stop working suddenly, check their fuses with the guidance of the owner’s car manual book that has details of the car information. They ought to be replaced if they are defective.
