Porsche Middle East and Africa, a wholly owned subsidiary forthe GermanPorsche automaker which is based in Stuttgart recorded the highest annual regional figurefor sales in the year of 2013 where Porsche Company has delivered 11,609 new cars to the region in the period between January and December 2013 compared to 9,171 cars in the year of 2012. These new results represent an increase beyond the rate of 26 percent.
The UAE has played a prominent role in regional success experienced by Porsche Company recently after it took more than a quarter of sales in the region. In Dubai, Porsche sales rose by 14 percent to reach 1,892 cars in the year of 2013 while the Porsche delivered 1,422 cars to Abu Dhabi that represents an annual increase rate of 34 percent compared to the last year. As the Republic of South Africa has seen a very stunning year which the sales of Porsche Company rose from 1,500 cars in 2012 to 2,516 cars in 2013, registering an increase of almost 68 percent. It is interesting that the four largest markets for Porsche in the region witnessed a growth in the year of 2013. In this context, sales of the German automaker rose in Kuwait by 36 percent compared to the last year where the company handed over 400 additional cars to reach total sales of 1,496 new cars.

The diverse range of Porsche models played a pivotal role in the success of the company last year. In the year that the luxury sports cars company celebrates with the golden jubilee of the legendary 911 model, this car has contributed remarkably in Porsche sales growth in the region where the sales of the 911 model grew in the region by more than 35 percent where the company delivered 1,729 cars in 2013, compared with 1,274 in the previous year and this model’s sales took 15 percent of Porsche’s total sales.
